Lax Spot is the premier online community for lacrosse players, fans, parents, coaches, and officials. Social networking powered by the lacrosse community.
Welcome
Laxspot.com wants to say hi! We hope that you’re excited as we are that this new online lacrosse community is now available. Lax Spot needs you! That’s right, we need everyone involved in lacrosse; players (former and current), fans, coaches, parents and companies to help make this site a great tool for all participating in this great sport of lacrosse.Blogs
Not everyone has a voice in the community. Newspapers, magazines and other websites provide content for you to absorb. But that’s not true here at LaxSpot.com. LaxSpot.com offers you the ability to start your own blogs so that you can be heard. That’s right; you make the news and stories by starting up your very own blog. If you want to write an article on your team, a local college game, player interviews, talk about your favorite TV show or even about your mom’s cooking, go for it…the skies the limit!Forum
A forum is a great place to discus the hot topics going on in the news and the world of lacrosse. Make sure you register for the forum and check it out daily for updates to the most interesting topics.Groups
Laxspot feels that groups are an underutilized function on the major networking sites on the web. We encourage the use of groups not only to stay in touch with friends, but to stay on top of events and news related to your group. We cannot wait to start our own High School and College alumni groups as well as groups for our current club teams. We’re all fans of different kinds of music, so we may have to set up different ones for those.Video
Let’s face it, video upload functionality is all the rage on the web. We knew this was a must for our users. We hope that you all come up with some great things to be uploaded to the site. Remember to keep it legal, clean and non-copyrighted and it will be all good!
Contests
Like we stated earlier, this site works because of YOU! We feel that you should be rewarded for participating and making LaxSpot.com the greatest lacrosse gathering place on the web. We’d love to hear what you have to say about some contest ideas. With our video upload feature, blogs, groups, we’re pretty sure that we can come with some good contests.
Thanks again for joining LaxSpot.com. Our goal is to offer the ‘ultimate online lacrosse experience’ to our users. We are looking forward to many new features to the site in ’08 and we hope that you all are along for the ride.
