Washington Bayhawk and New York Titan Hunter Lochte introduces you to his life in and out of the lacrosse world.
So after a week on barely no cell phone service, internet, and no TV, I am checking in as a member of the Washington Bayhawks. Early this week, I got a call from Dragons GM Doug Locker informing me that I was traded to the Bayhawks to play under Jarred Testa who I played for in Denver in 2006. I must say, it is always tough getting traded, but I am excited about the new oportunity in Washington. At this point in the season, I would much rather drive 45 minutes and have a chance to play than fly six and a half hours across the country to not get a chance to play.
This week has been a good one. We had our second overnight camp of the summer at Oldfields school outside of Baltimore and as I said above, the cell service was terrible, we had no access to the internet and no TV. Believe it or not, it was kind of nice to take a step away from society and the kids that came to camp were really cool and wanted to learn.
Onto the weekend, the Bayhawks face off against the Barrage and I am excited for the first game with my new team. Right after the game I will have to drive back to Baltimore because we have another camp in Baltimore this week that starts on Sunday. The camp runs until Wednesday and the Bayhawks have a bye next week, so that means I will be able to have a few days in Baltimore, something I havent had since May, before I head to the Jersey Shore on July 6th for another camp.
I hope everyone has a good one and I will try to check in next week. If I dont, have a Happy 4th of July.
